After the success of its first edition, held between 26 and 28 June this year, the World Olive Oil Congress (OOWC) is looking for a venue for the year 2026.
This event, which aims to become one of the most important at world level and a meeting point for producers from all over the globe. It was held at the facilities of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) in Madrid (Spain).
Now, the organisation has received proposals for a venue for the new edition, and is requesting information in order to evaluate the candidatures. It must be an emblematic location, committed to the olive oil sector, where new advances can be shared and contact between the different operators in the olive oil production chain can be strengthened.
The organisation is also working on a programme of inter-congress activities with the aim of consolidating the brand and promoting knowledge about the product and the sector worldwide.
As an international project, the OOWC aims to be held in different parts of the world. It is important that these places are consolidated and symbolic for the production of this product.
The OOWC is, above all, a collaborative project with the sector at an international level, in which companies, institutions and associations are encouraged to contribute their grain of sand, contributing their experience, opinions and knowledge to reach both olive oil operators and consumers all over the world.
Anyone interested in taking part in the congress can obtain information from the OOWC Technical Secretariat by calling 91 721 79 29 or sending an email to info@oliveoilwc.com.
