AGROCOLOR, the certification body of reference in the agri-food sector worldwide, has closed this morning a collaboration agreement with IGP Aceite de Jaén, by which it offers to the associates of the IGP facilities the certification of the most important quality standards in the olive oil sector such as IFS, BRC, Organic Production and Integrated Production.
This agreement, signed today by the president of AGROCOLOR, Miguel Rodríguez de la Rubia, and the president of IGP Aceite de Jaén, Manuel Parras Rosa, in the Terra Óleum building of the GEOLIT Scientific and Technological Park in Jaén, has adding value to the oil productions of the IGP, and offering facilities for the certification of the most relevant standards regarding sustainability such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 Carbon Footprint, Water Footprint, EINF verification and ODS verification among its main goals.
After the signing, Rodríguez de la Rubia expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration that both entities will maintain from now on in order to increase the already excellent value of extra olive oil from Jaén in the main national and international markets. "AGROCOLOR is proud to have the confidence of an IGP such as that of Jaén olive oil for the certification of its products, which are an emblem of this land's agri-food industry with proven quality."
According to the president of AGROCOLOR, "not only are we certifying a quality product, but we are also joining the IGP Aceite de Jaén in preserving a tradition and an agri-food heritage, passed down from generation to generation".
For his part, Manuel Parras Rosa, highlighted the importance for the Geographical Indication of having AGROCOLOR to ratify and promote the quality of extra virgin olive oils from Jaén "in which more and more producers, companies and marketers are achieving products of high gastronomic value and under the standards and sustainable requirements demanded by our consumers", he said.
