Call for entries for the Mario Solinas Award 2025 is open

The Mario Solinas Quality Award, an annual initiative of the International Olive Council (IOC) since the 2000/01 growing season, celebrates excellence in extra virgin olive oils from around the world.

The rules for the northern hemisphere are available here in English, French and Spanish, offering guidance for this prestigious competition.

This non-profit award aims to highlight the best extra virgin olive oils, encouraging producers, associations and packers to maintain superior quality standards. It also serves to educate consumers about the remarkable characteristics of these oils. Through rigorous evaluation, the competition identifies harmonious extra virgin olive oils that demonstrate exceptional organoleptic qualities within the defined categories.

Producers interested in participating must ensure that their samples and the required documentation arrive at the IOC headquarters between Tuesday and Friday, no later than 14 February 2025.

Address of the IOC headquarters: Calle Príncipe de Vergara 154, 28002 Madrid, Spain.
