The Olive Oil World Congress is pleased to announce the addition of the Confederazione Italiana Agricoltori (CIA) and the Filiera Olivicola Olearia Italiana (FOOI) to its prestigious organisation. This strategic alliance represents a significant step towards the consolidation of the olive and olive oil industry, strengthening the mission of promoting excellence and innovation in the sector at a global level.
The CIA, with a strong track record in defending the interests of Italian farmers, brings a wealth of experience and expertise in olive growing and the production of high quality olive oil. Its participation in the OOWC will enrich its efforts to support producers and improve sustainable agricultural practices.
Gennaro Sicolo, in his capacity as president of the ICA, acts as a liaison between the two entities to ensure smooth communication and effective collaboration, allowing the interests and needs of Italian farmers to be effectively integrated into OOWC initiatives and programmes.
For its part, FOOI, as the representative body of the entire olive oil value chain in Italy, from producers to distributors, will contribute significantly with its deep understanding of the market and its commitment to the promotion of Italian olive oil. The collaboration with FOOI will strengthen the congress's ability to develop initiatives to boost the competitiveness and visibility of Italian olive oil on the international scene.
Giuliano Martino, Director of FOOI, is also a member of the OOWC Executive Committee, which provides the opportunity to actively participate in the definition of institutional and organisational issues and key elements of the congress.
This partnership reflects the OOWC's commitment to work with the leading organisations in the sector to foster an exchange of knowledge and practices that will benefit all members of the olive oil community.
Don't miss the opportunity to network with Gennaro Sicolo and Giuliano Martino!

About the OOWC:
The World Olive Oil Congress is an event that will bring together the world's leading speakers in each subject, generating knowledge about the new developments and innovations existing in each link of the value chain. It will bring together all operators in the sector worldwide, with the aim of joining forces to continue working together. Bearing in mind that Spain is the world leader in the production, marketing and export of olive oil, it has been decided that the first edition will be held in Madrid in 2024, although the project began in 2023 with the promotional actions of "En route to the OOWC-2024". After this first edition, the venue will be itinerant, although inter-congress activities will take place all over the world.
