IOC supports the organization of the OOWC

The Olive Oil World Congress (OOWC) continues to strengthen its international character, adding new support for its celebration from June 26 to 28, 2024 in Madrid, with the incorporation of the International Olive Oil Council (IOC) to the Organizing Committee, the only international intergovernmental entity dedicated to olive oil and table olives.

The IOC makes a decisive contribution to the sustainable and responsible development of olive growing and provides a global forum for discussing policies to be adopted and addressing present and future challenges. Its current members include the main international producers and exporters of olive oil and table olives. It should be recalled that IOC producer members account for 98% of world olive production.

With this alliance, the OOWC expects to increase its visibility worldwide. Undoubtedly, an important agreement to publicize the current situation of the olive oil and olive oil sector in all its aspects at international level.

Companies and associations of the national and international olive grove and olive oil sector, distribution and catering, auxiliary industry, public and private research centers, researchers and students and Public Administration that wish to participate will be able to do so thanks to the wide variety of possibilities that the OOWC has developed to adapt to all the companies of the sector.
