Jaén Becomes the World Epicenter of Olive Oil Knowledge

From May 14 to 16, 2025, Jaén will become the nerve center of the olive oil sector with the celebration of the 22nd International Scientific-Technical and Knowledge Transfer Symposium, held within the framework of the International Fair of Olive Oil and Allied Industries, Expoliva 2025. Organized by the Olive Tree Foundation, in collaboration with the International Olive Council (IOC) and the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM-Zaragoza), this event is firmly established as a leading forum for the exchange of scientific and technical knowledge in the olive oil industry.

The symposium will focus on four key thematic areas: olive oil industry and quality, olive groves and sustainability, economy and consumption, and health and olive oil. These themes will provide a platform to discuss the technical, scientific, and economic challenges facing the sector, while promoting innovation, sustainability, and quality in olive oil on a global scale.

Running concurrently will be the 2025 International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Hall (SIAOVE), showcasing over 200 premium extra virgin olive oil labels. This space will feature public tastings and competitions that highlight excellence in production and innovation across the sector.

Expoliva 2025 stands as a must-attend event for researchers, producers, and professionals in the olive oil industry who aim to stay at the forefront of science, technology, and economics related to olive oil.
