A great event full of excitement, information and innovation, these were the main feelings of those who had the privilege of participating in this important event for the agricultural sector.
According to Patricia González, Marketing and Sales Director of Kubota Spain, "At Kubota, we are incredibly proud to sponsor the V MujerAGRO Award and the important work it does to highlight the fantastic work of women already working in the industry and encourage others to pursue a career in such a rewarding industry".
Siete Agromarketing and eComercio Agrario, promoters of the project, have held the Award for the third consecutive year, in Mercamadrid in a hybrid format, in recognition of the agri-food sector and its commitment to the implementation of equality plans in companies. They did so under the slogan: 'Equality, a necessity and a social challenge', highlighting the importance of acting in a global way, women and men hand in hand to continue advancing along a path that has yet to be travelled.
Kubota Spain was in charge of presenting the Mujer Agro Award in the Youth category to Eva María Fernández Alberto, a young 27 year old agricultural woman who is carrying out work in the field of equality with national repercussions. Eva María Fernández Alberto is the president of the Santiago Apostol Cooperative "Los Pastoreros". Although she has an academic background in Hispanic Philology, among other studies, she has promoted the creation of a new line of products within the cooperative, obtaining great profitability and benefits for the cooperative. It is worth highlighting his leadership during the pandemic period, in which she guaranteed the safety of the workers, as they themselves recognise.
The event provided evidence of the work being done in Europe and Latin America in favour of real equality, as well as the gaps that still exist. Equality, as has become clear, is not only a necessity, because it is a fundamental right to achieve the full development of a society, as stated in the objectives of the 2030 Agenda.
