Kubota Corporation (Headquarters: Naniwa-ku, Osaka, Japan; President and Representative Director: Yuichi Kitao) will sponsor "Future Life Expo: City of the Future" - one of the future society projects - at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Kansai, Japan, as a platinum partner. In a vision of a future society jointly created by eleven sponsoring companies and organisations, Kubota will present a sustainable future of "Food and Agriculture".
Since its founding in 1890, Kubota has offered solutions to contemporary problems in the areas of "food, water and environment". These include the production of water pipes, which supported the development of waterworks in Japan, an essential requirement for improving the country's sanitary environment in the late 19th century. They also include the manufacture of agricultural machinery, which supported the mass production of crops to feed a population suffering from food shortages from the 1960s onwards. Today, Kubota operates in more than 120 countries around the world.
The motto of the Expo 2025 in Osaka (Kansai, Japan), "Designing the future society for our lives", and Kubota's brand statement, "For Earth, For Life", share a forward-looking orientation. Impressed by such a high level of affinity, Kubota has decided to sponsor the Expo.
The Future Society Projects, which includes the "Future Life Expo: City of the Future", sponsored by Kubota, consists of a pavilion in which eleven sponsoring companies and organisations will collaborate with the Japan Association for World Expo 2025 to create a vision of what the society of the future will look like based on "Society 5.0" - the Japanese government's vision of a future society. The narrative will present a future city in which advanced products and services of various kinds facilitate people's lives, as envisioned by Society 5.0.
At the exhibition, Kubota will focus on the theme of "Food and Farming", offering approaches to a more abundant and stable food supply and agriculture. This may include offering innovations in production, such as automated agricultural machinery, as well as digital solutions that adapt to the perspectives of not only producers, but also consumers. Kubota will present to a broad group of visitors from Japan and around the world a vision of a sustainable and resilient society that includes "water", an essential factor in food production, and "resource circulation", which derives valuable resources from waste. Thus, it will inspire them to think of the future of "Food and Agriculture" as their own business and move forward hand in hand. In this way, Kubota will contribute to the success of the Expo 2025 in Osaka, Kansai, Japan, whose motto is "Designing the future society for our lives".
